Arthur W. Diamond Law Library - Columbia Law School
Lifelong New Yorker, and very much a "son of Columbia" (College, '24; Law School '26) the late Milton Handler (d. '98) taught at Columbia Law School for forty-five years. He was a prolific scholar and wrote a leading text on Trade Regulation. The documents of Handler's long and productive career are archived at Columbia Law Library. In 2004 the Milton and Miriam Handler Foundation in New York City funded this project to make available on the web an overview of the collection and specific information on its contents. This electronic finding aid to the collection also includes, within appropriate segments of the Biographical Chronology, images associated with Milton Handler and his career, as well as several audio clips. The Scope Note provides an overview of the Handler Archive that is organized into eight Record Groups. The eight Record Groups are topically organized; the contents of each document box within each group are outlined in chronological fashion and can be accessed by selecting the Record Groups link below. The reader can view all of this information in web HTML files or in PDF files (preferable for prints) and can search the HTML files using the Search box below.
